About Me
GROO: Have they no eyes in this village?
CORDELIA: What do you mean?
GROO: Can they not just look upon you and *see* that you are a princess?–”Through the Looking Glass”, Angel, the Series
This is the section of the blog where I should put a witty little biography about myself, right? It’s my chance to show you how profound and incredibly awesome I am, so of course I can’t think of a damn thing to say.
I am, in fact, a spinster who likes to sit on her couch and watch DVDs. I have many other exciting hobbies, such as attending political rallies and traveling to sunny beaches, but mostly I love the television. Not, you know, in any sort of creepy, maladjusted way–I just like interesting characters and witty banter.
When I’m not living it up in nostalgia-land, watching one Joss-Whedon-created show or another, I also enjoy baseball. I follow two teams: the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. “But Mel,” I’m sure you’re asking, “what happens when these two teams play each other, which happens all the time since they’re in the same division?” That’s a very good question, dear reader. Early in the season, I cheer on my Devil Rays. Once the season’s drawing to a close, however, I switch and cheer for the Red Sox since they usually have a chance at actually winning the division. *knock wood, turn around three times, spit* So, basically it all depends on the standings, but I always, ALWAYS cheer against the Yankees.
Hmmm….what else to say to describe the wonder that is me? Looks like I’ll be coming back to this one later.
